  1. Hi!! My name is Dr. Rosalie Richards. I am from a tiny island in the Caribbean, Antigua. I am professor of chemistry at Georgia College and also the Kaolin-Endowed Chair in Science. As Kaolin Chair, I direct the Science Education Center which is located across from the studio lab. At the center, our work are dedicated to excellence in science teaching and learning. We have a number of volunteer science projects that you can participate in, so please stop by the center! I also investigate the application of porphyrins in drug design and catalysis. This past year, I’ve also started a project in soil chemistry. I teach general chemistry, physical science and other chemistry courses.

This summer I traveled a lot for work - New York, Virginia, New Jersey, South Korea and finally to Antigua for some R&R.

My concentration is science in the Middle Grades cohort and I am really excited to learn more about science, even if it is reviewing since I am sure I have forgotten a lot of information over the years. I coached a swim team this summer and really enjoyed it.

  14. Hi Everyone! I am Tynisha Harris and I am from the small town of Warrenton, Georgia. When I say small, I mean one public high school of about 250 students... small as in ONE traffic light. Warrenton is about an hour away from Milledgeville but not too many people have ever heard of it. Augusta is our nearest "big city". I am one of six kids and a first generation college student (along with my two sisters who both attend Paine College). I am one of the two cohort members who have a concentration in science. Science is a subject that I have always wanted to know more about. This summer I spent a few weeks in San Ignacio, Belize as well as the island of San Pedro. I really enjoyed learning, teaching, and exploring in Belize and would love to return some day. I spent the rest of my summer here in Milledgeville finishing up core classes.
